Azannes, the village of old crafts opens each year on each of the sundays in May. A beautiful experience, where you can walk through history and enjoy the local people working the old handcrafts and trades.
An outdoor museum that you should not miss! Unique and full of surprises. Over 80 crafts from the 19th century are portrayed by more than 400 volunteers in an authenticly restored village. Enjoy the horses in the threshing mill, the roof tile man and his wife, the laundry women in the laundry house, the pastor in his church, the farmer on his old tractor, and so much more.
On the Sundays in May is the biggest attraction in the region. Visitors come from all departments and surrounding countries.
Take your picnic basket or go to one of the many small take away restaurants. Visit the watermill and windmill. Buy a bakery backed bread, a broom of willow, honey at the honey stand, go to the hairdresser in the old barbershop and try a hat at the to the hat store. Technology is abundant with machines, tractors and installations. Horses take care of the HP's. Buy a jam at the lady who makes her own jams and be amazed at the wood sawmill.
